If you haven't tried The Rivalry I highly recommend it! Service was excellent! We sat at the bar and all 3 bartenders were attentive and friendly. Ordered the Garlic Lobster Melt, The Rivalry, a side of spaetzle and the Apple Pull Apart Butter Cake for dessert. The melt was delicious and very rich. You could totally taste the garlic aioli. The bun was a little dry so it would've been 5 stars if the bun was more fresh. If you want to try schnitzel and corned beef then I highly suggest The Rivalry! Just enough cabbage and dressing so as not to overpower the meat, which is the most important thing. The spaetzle was very buttery but a little too chewy. Now for dessert... OMG!!! It was amazing!!! I was confused at first because the menu reads topped with apples and caramel sauce but it's really at the bottom so my disappointment was rectified when I dug into it. It actually could use a little more, but that's just me ???? If you love an Old Fashioned I highly suggest getting one because the
Came here for the first time because of the Antioch Chamber of Commerce Beer Walk. It's a very well thought of Ale house with plenty of space and lots of beer options on tap. Decor and overall aesthetic is amazing. I must say though that if I was to judge the food based off of what the Chamber had served for brunch I think I wouldn't return. The chamber should have allowed for Rivalry to present it's own menu to really allow for patrons to experience Rivalry as it is meant to be. I wouldn't dock it's rating because of this but I would like to return and experience it another time fully.
We enjoyed our meal on the rooftop terrace. The schnitzel and spaetzle was the best I've had in a long time. One of the owners even checked in to see how our meal was and what if anything they could do better. Great service too.
