I came on a Saturday evening and every seat was taken - this place is very small and only has about 12 tables total. Chips were good with a nice spicy salsa. I ordered the tres amigos which was supposed to be hard tacos but came soft and the menu price was $6 but that bill reflected $6.99. They have a few draft beer selections typical of a Mexican restaurant. I just love these non-chain, hole in the wall restaurants! You should come and check this place out! Had the tacos been priced at menu price and came hard, I would have rated this place five stars. Don't expect anything fancy here as I'm a fan of dive Mexican, and individual tastes will vary. I'm a fan of dive Mexican and for $7 certainly this place was not fancy... I'll actually give them credit because considering inflation it's tough to even get a meal for less than $10 nowadays...
Service at the beginning was a bit slow. We started with pink lemonade and tamarindo but both were tasteless, literally just water. Waitress then said that they are from the machine so it won't taste the same.. ok? So we changed it to bottled apple juice. I ordered a chimichanga and asked if it had onions inside, lady said you can barely tell but what I got was more onions than meat. Don't get me wrong the flavor of the rice and beans were good but I hate onions so totally ruined it for me. To be honest I've never had a chimichanga with veggies inside, super disappointed.
Man, this food is so good. Fresh. Great drinks. Real cozy atmosphere. One of the first places me and my family tried when we arrived in the area 4 years ago, and they are still my go to.
