I love American diners. Unfortunately I'm too young to have been around for their hay day, but places like Richie's legitimately keep the spirit alive. The bright decor and classic teal color offer a welcoming atmosphere. Everyone is so friendly here! This location has a BBQ pit in front of the entrance so you can see an associate grilling up cuts of meat and other things! The menu is diverse with lots of classic American offerings ranging from sandwiches to full dinner plates and BBQ. Portions are huge and the food is fresh. I had the clam chowder in a bread bowl and typically the bread is a carby afterthought, but this was different. It was actually good, I had to stop myself from eating it all. Vegetarian options: Salads are offered here and with big portions, I'm sure they're really filling. Today’s meal was only a 3–star experience. It’s usually better. It has been several years since I’ve reviewed this location. We split a BLT. It’s on the small side. The onion rings are too large to bite into and greasy. We prefer the Club sandwich which gives you more for your $ as prices have really gone up, but we’ll probably go back. There are some items we really like here.
This is a really cute little diner. They Offer all sorts of different dishes for everyone. We had gotten in there and car tri tip sandwich and their barbecue sliders. Both dishes were super delicious! They offered a 7 ounce steak strip on their kids menu which is like unheard of! My son is a very good eater so he really enjoyed the state that was offered on the kids menu. He even got a little dessert afterwards so he was super happy about it! I really do you like the battery on the fried zucchini basket but I wish it was smaller pieces. It was really hot to eat and bite into but it was very delicious!
