The food was Amazingly delicious; 1 order of pancakes is enough for 3-4 people… 1 order of an omelette can feed 3-4 people… with that being said the portions are big for the price. The down side is my SIM card got hacked after I used it there so if and when I return I’ll just use cash because the food was good. … More
I have always loved The Original Pancake House chain across the Midwest and east coast but to find the actual *original* was a total mindblow. Everything was wonderful from the class baked apple pancake to the pigs in the blanket with a fresh citrus syrup. But the clear winner was the savory baked pancake (Danish Harvest) filled with broccoli, onion, tomato, mushrooms and havarti. It was a bit of a wait for our family of 7 but we’ll worth it. The inside is a bit tiny but the outside space has heaters which was great since it’s been unseasonably cool and rainy lately. Can’t wait to come back!
The menu is large and varied and includes vegan options. My hash browns were dry and burnt, and my over medium eggs were slightly undercooked. The cherry pancakes were soft and fluffy with a syrup with dark cherry flavor that was not overly sweet. The coffee was tasty although the cream was ever so slightly curdled. Service was excellent. This place is just kinda "meh"; I certainly wouldn't stand in line for it.
