Restaurant Mehanata

My mother and I have been coming here for years!! Every chance we get for a birthday or holiday we are sure to bring all our friends. The food is delicious, management and service are all lovely and it's always a fun time when we host a party there.

To begin with, there was only one waiter for the entire restaurant and he was very busy to take our order. In the end, we just stopped him on the move. We asked to replace our double pork and chicken kebab with chicken and beef. The waiter said that he would have to pay a little more for beef as it is more expensive. No problem. Later he brought us an extra dish that we didn't order. But we took it because we didn't know what what we ordered looked like, after which we saw it in our receipt too. The waiter brought us two different dishes with beef and chicken, after which we saw two different prices in the receipt, although we ordered one large dish. We explained his mistake to the waiter, but he said that there was no mistake and we had to pay for all the dishes. We were already willing to pay for everything, but they didn't pick up our check for 15 minutes because they called the boss. Mehanata is a good Bulgarian restaurant that boasts ethnic decor and serves a variety of Bulgarian dishes. I must highlight that their presentation appears more homemade and traditional than that of a typical restaurant. During our visit, we tried their cold soup "Tarator", salad "Shopska" and Combo Shashlik. I enjoyed the presentation of the shashlik on skewers, and the meat was juicy and tender.
