Restaurant Basque

Tried a few dishes and they were all good. The Spanish style menu was fun and I enjoyed the potatoes bravas (crispy potatoes). The beef cheek was pretty good and the ham covered trout was worth having. The issue with this place was that it just didn't feel special nothing about it made me say wow! That's cool. The "tapas" theme is really fun and all, and the food was well cooked and delicious but there was nothing really about it that made me want to come back... It's a wouldn't say no if a friend wanted to eat here but wouldn't suggest it as our next stop either... One thing that I think would be cool is a coordinated menu or groupings that all pair down well. Like mini tasting menus but where the staters/sharables/entrees/sides are all coordinated to play off eachother the way the chef wants, instead of bumbling through the menu like I currently.

We ate a little mix of everything from snacks to small plates and entrees and everything was delicious. Unique mixes of ingredients.
