An excellent New American meal in an excellent downtown L.A. venue. Very creative fare served in a building with a lot of history. The dishes were inventive and delicious. And at the very least interesting. Redbird is really defining what New American cuisine is and can be. All served in a redone rectory which served as a home for a cardinal. Where the name Redbird comes from. The interior had a real upscale atmosphere but still felt welcoming and cozy. All in all I had a great L.A. food experience. This is a foodies dream restaurant and a must visit when your in Los Angeles. Dos thumbs up ????????
The food is quite creative and tasted good for the most part. I've never had pasta with grapes before or a pumpkin creme brulee for example... But it almost all works. The decor and service was very nice too. Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: No Takeout: No Delivery: No Curbside pickup: No … More
Went after reading the reviews. The ambiance is nice - we got two things the steak and the black truffle pasta and steak. When I tell you this pasta was 2 bites for $42 i am not exaggerating. The steak was decent. The host was a awkward/rude as well. Overall it would be ok if the price represented the service and food but for the quality of food and service definitely not worth it
