I found the service to be somewhat disinterested, the chicken vegetable soup excessively salty, the french fries heat lamp warm when served and the limousin burger, while cooked properly was just not nearly as interesting as described on the menu. The brandy old fashioned was good and the dining room has a charm that is indeed “supper club”
Excellent service and excellent drinks. But bland, terrible food. I love every part of the experience besides the food. I ordered the ginger-apricot glazed grilled salmon. It was dry, it tasted like they used frozen fish. The glaze they used was incredibly bland and it didn’t seem like they seasoned it much if at all beyond the glaze. The rice was slightly crunchy and dry. The mushrooms tasted like it was under the heat lamp for too long. The broccolini was rough and hard to eat. The only thing that had any real flavor was the small piece of pepper they added when they plated the dish. The restaurant is gorgeous and they served some incredible drinks. The management seems to care about making sure guests are happy. They’re quick to refill your glass and get things requested. The server had a lot of tables and was on point with it. She worked hard and never stopped to rest it seemed. My partner had a similar opinion about the meal he got. We stopped to grab McFlurry’s on the way home fo
Oh my... What a shame. We used to love this place but COVID has not been kind. We stopped for brunch. Our food was mediocre at best, with barely cooked hash and eggs poached hard. My wife didn't finish her scramble as the eggs were cooked so hard they were dry. To top it off, we saw a mouse run across the dining room... At 11am. The server saw it as well and let us know she would inform the manager but I'm not convinced anything will happen. I will say our server was amazing, doing the best she could in obviously difficult circumstances and was the only server on duty that morning. We won't be back.
