RED

Best place in Madison. We sat outside on a beautiful night. Food came out at perfect pace, service was excellent. The volcano roll was amazing, and the fried mushroom from the kitchen is a must try. Will definitely be back next time we are in madison.

Something I want to point out at the top is that RED does consider dietary restrictions. My partner is celiac and finding that RED has gluten free tempura and a dedicated gluten free frier was a highlight for them. I enjoyed my experience at RED, and overall I'd give them a 4/5. They have some sushi options that I found innovative or unique and the sushi is generally quite tasty. The drinks were also good, NA drinks included. I went with 4/5 as our waiter accidentally swapped one item (we were billed correctly) and it's not the best sushi I've had. It's good sushi, but I found it a little disappointing for this price range. The atmosphere is great and in my opinion this is what you're paying for. It can get a touch loud during the dinner rush, be aware of that if you're looking for an intimate experience.

I cannot say enough about food and drink quality, service, and ambiance. This place is special and as an avid sashimi consumer, this place is so good I even order their rolls! This was our 3rd time here in about 5 years. Every time, you get the quality experience you are paying for. Just simply great!
