Food is great; however, prices in comparison to portion size are getting a little out of hand. Plus if you dine in there's a 18% gratuity. Ordered rice, sweet and sour chicken, and a beef entree, along with egg rolls, and two alcoholic drinks. With gratuity it was $115. Little crazy considering this isn't fine dining. Portion sizes were extremely small. They used to give large portions but apparently not anymore.

Just don’t go. I’m all for supporting small business but the service was okay, menus were dirty, table was sticky, just not very clean. Came in with a large group and the server forgot my order. No big deal, it happens but the food was actually terrible. I got shrimp fried rice and it did not taste like typical fried rice. I’m all for different restaurants getting creative with dishes but it was nothing creative about it and the rice had a weird taste and after taste. Definitely NOT worth the $16 they charge you for. More like, 8 if that. The mixed drink I got was good and strong so no complaints there. Even other people at my table who got other food items were not pleased at all. You can go elsewhere and get better food and service. Oh, and if you are a stickler for Covid protocol and masks, just keep on strolling. This ain’t it.

This place is a historic mainstay on Lyndale for a reason. It’s looking a little rough around edges these days, but is worth a stop if you’re looking for hearty Chinese food and cocktails served in a cozy, charming, tucked away environment. Service was helpful and friendly when we went on a Tuesday evening, although a bit slow and inattentive as we finished up. There’s room for improvement here. The food hit the spot. I highly recommend the chicken wings which are crunchy, meaty, and served hot. The sizzling platter left something to be desired, as it wasn’t really sizzling and was a bit too soupy and salty. Nevertheless, it was a good dining experience overall. It’s a bit gritty to be sure, and yes, the tables are a bit sticky, but the bathrooms are clean, the food and drinks are good, and there is a glowing red heart to the place. We didn’t sit at the bar which seems like it’d be fun on a Friday night. The cocktails and shots have eye-catching names that you’ll have to see for yourse
