Ray's Tepeyac

Had a great time at Ray's. Was surprised to see that they got liquor back after months of being dry. Food was delicious, people there where helpful and friendly. I had the michelada and my guest has the mango margarita. Started at one, ended at three. So good will come back

We love to stop here when traveling thru Covina. They have daily specials, which are large portions and reasonably priced. Chips and salsa was just perfect to start the meal. I usually order Albóndiga soup special, which comes with 2 hard shell tacos and your choice of beef or chicken, I order 1 of each. There beans are so good, I order it as a side dish for myself. Very family friendly and service from, Ana, is exceptional! Tip her well... and enjoy a great meal.

The veteran servers who have been there since Ray was the owner, are incredible. There are a few new servers who have a terrible appearance due to not being well groomed and not looking clean. We have been customers for more than 30 yrs, and never did I have to wait more than 1 hour for the server to deliver our order. My 7 yr old daughter even complained and requested to speak to the manger. The waitress forgot to bring my daughter the tortillas she had requested. The waitress who forgot to turn in our order to the kitchen staff started laughing, because she is the manager. No discount for wasting our time. She thought it was funny and laughed at the situation. Not only that, when it was time to pay, they had overcharged us by adding 2 additional plates. Total disregard for their loyal customers. Loyal customers no more!
