Excellent Mexican food. The menu is neat with lots of different and unique options available. Their tortillas, beans, rice, steak, chicken, guacamole and all of the salsas were PHENOMENAL! They are very busy and there is a bit of a wait but it’s more than worth it. They are a drive thru but they are not “fast food” If you’re impatient I would suggest going to Taco Bell or something of the like. If you want some Good quality food I’m sure you’ll want to come back for, then be prepared to wait a bit longer.
I really liked this place at first, yes the wait time is long, usually 10 minutes, sometimes longer, but the food was always fresh and the portions were filling. My coworkers and I would visit at least 3 times a week, but now, nobody ever wants to go. 1 coworker said the girl with the piercing in her nouth charged him $17.85 but his receipt said $16.45. Another coworker said she got old, dark, and greasy carne asada meat that looked like leftovers from 2 days prior. There are several others that say the portions have gotten noticeably smaller. I have noticed this too, the Carne asada tacos are obviously smaller than they were a month ago, but more expensive since they raised their prices. I remember the first time I tried the rolled tacos Carne asada, it was heavy and very filling. Now they are very skimpy and quite disappointing. Today the Carne asada tacos I ordered had old, dark pieces of meat in almost every bite, tacos were very small , usually you can make another taco with the
My favorite type of restaurant, a small nondescript place that serves excellent food. We were staying close to the Tucson Airport and we wanted a quick dinner, instead of a full sit down dinner. We saw Ramiro's and we had to stop to try out their offerings. I ordered the Pollo Asado salad and my wife chose the Cheese Enchiladas. We also got an order Guacamole and chips. The Guac had a pureed/whipped consistency which we were not familiar with, but I loved it. The Pollo Asado had a tasty marinade and was very flavorful. My wife enjoyed her Enchiladas and particularly she mentioned the beans and rice. The beans also had a smooth consistency and the rice was moist. Overall, a very good experience.
