Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen

Came back after the restaurant was rebranded. The only true improvement would be the service. The service used to be terrible, but our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was nothing spectacular. My wife's pasta had a ton of flavor and great Cajun spices, but my gumbo was very underwhelming as is. Had to add a lot of salt and filé powder to get it to taste better. Parking: Best to park in the simba lot as you can get validated if you eat at the restaurants at downtown Disney. But there is a $10 minimum

Nice place located in downtown Disney in Anaheim, California. It has a southern menu, and it reminded me a lot of Louisiana. It's a good teaser in comparison to the real deal. The place was recently remodeled, and it's inviting. There was no elevator in this restaurant, so we left our stroller downstairs, but this is something to think about when someone is in a wheelchair. Your choice would be to dine in the 1st floor outside patio. Our server, Jessie, was great! He is very attentive and comical. He has a way with people, that's for sure. We ordered NOLA shrimp BBQ with grits, pasta jambalaya, penne pasta, and meatballs for the kiddo, crispy Calamari, so good. Blackened chicken, mac and cheese, and chocolate bread pudding. They are well balanced, well seasoned, and all tastes very good. I would have given this place 5 starts if I've never been to NOLA.

Good portion and okay sandwiches. The pulled pork was on the dry side. The cold slaw was tasty. Fries could bit a more crispier but it wasn’t bad. There’s room for improvement. Staff was friendly.
