On 10/13 I went to this Canes and ordered several meals for my family. When I got home my order and my husband's had chunks and slivers of WOOD in the fries. I contacted the corporate office on 10/13 via their online form but was unable to submit the videos or pictures I had of the wood. A few days later I got a basic response from them asking for me to contact them. On 10/25 I sent them video of what we had found in my meal. As of today (11/17) I still have yet to get a response. Will NOT be returning
Soooo, I started to eat one of my freshly cooked tenders and right as I bit into it, I see this extremely long piece of black hair cooked INTO the tender...as if it was mixed in with the batter. I was horrified. It's disgusting. I immediately took it back to the manager and she casually explains that the cooks "should" be wearing a hair net. Then she asked if I wanted new tenders...I'm like...from the same grease this hair was cooked it. I can't imagine how many other tenders in that batch were served to the customers behind me. I should have taken a picture...I was too shocked I guess.
I’ve been to canes a few times and I don’t understand the fanaticism. The food is plenty good, but it’s just good. It’s not great chicken. The fries suck. They’re crinkle cut fries that are always mushy on the inside, you could so easily buy better frozen fries at your local grocery store. The chicken is good but it’s not really special I think. Popeyes has better if you want faster chicken. The sauce is good too but not nearly worth the hype either. The employees are always nice though. But yeah, I don’t understand the hooplah. It’s definitely fine, but not better than that.
