We were in Chicago 5/20/23 and walked to this hotel after a tour because we were hungry. My feet were killing me and it was the closest place to eat. Upon entry we were asked to show a room key. After seeing several sketchy people near the entrance we understood why. We proceeded to the restaurant (with posted open time of 11:30-10:30pm.) The time was 9:40pm. We asked for a menu and were told, "you can find it on-line. Im the chef and we stopped serving food." I said you close at 9:44pm? He said "technically." We found a more welcoming restaurant down the street at the welcoming Palmer hotel. I would not stay here or eat here after this unwelcoming experience.
The food was good but we waited way too long for our food. Approx 90 plus minutes. It's not a big restaurant nor were they short staffed. Plenty of staff standing around. The one plus was the comped our whole check. Craziness.
The portion sizes are huge! Just down the street from the Studebaker theatre and in the same building as the Congress hotel. Not a far walk from Willis Tower, either. Superb service, very friendly and attentive! Bravo!
