I’ve never seen people in the kitchen work so slow. 15mins for a freaking grilled cheese

I work across the street and I get off work late every night and come over here to get something to drink And a snack because I have a long drive home. For the last couple years everyone has always been very nice and accommodating. Tonight the gentleman who was working around 11pm really made my night after a long day. I look forward to getting a couple donuts because I know they get their shipments at night, so I know they’re fresh. Tonight I got there before they had a chance to get them on the shelves. I was joking and I said “Aw, no donuts yet tonight?!” And he went and looked through the containers to get the ones I wanted so I wouldn’t have to wait or go somewhere else. He really didn’t have to do that and I really appreciated it. He also had a very annoying customer in front of me that was giving him grief about having to show his ID and the thought he should have recognized him. Giving receipts for change now is NOT cool QT! YOU need to let people get change or round it down for the customer to nearest dollar! Instead, staff just handed me a piece of paper for $0.72 "credit" and said next please to customer behind me. Ridiculous business practice!
