Queenie's Steakhouse

I went on a double date here last Saturday. We’re from out of town and had never been before. The host was wonderful at making sure we had a table inside even though the reservation app only let us choose outside. Grace, our server, was one of the nicest and most bubbly servers I’ve had. She was wonderful at giving recommendations for the food as well as things for us to do after dinner. The smoked old fashioned and other craft cocktails were phenomenal and the ribeye was cooked perfectly as well. We will be back again.

Where do I start.... this is actually a very late post but here goes... My husband and I celebrated our anniversary 4/20/21 our plans fell through so we decided to support a local business in my hometown of Denton Texas.. Before our arrival I read a few reviews and they seemed to be fair so we got dressed up to go. We made reservations prior to our arrival seeing how this was rated a 4 star restaurant in the area. I honestly feel as though we were not received well because we were people of color and I got the vibe and that they don’t get a ton of multicultural customers. We walked up to the counter and stated we had reservations and immediately the phone rang and the hostess put her hand up in our faces and told us to hold on???? it was very rude and unprofessional... after she took the call she told us to go wait at the bar until they got a table ready (we made reservations and told her first) then she looked at her list and said oh wait y’all are the McNeil party ( with shock on her

Me and my husband was visiting from out of town. We made reservations for 7:45 we arrived at 7:40 and was seated. The waiter took our order at 8:03 and told us it would be 20 to 30 minutes. We didn't get our food till after 9:00. The owner or manager stopped over a few times. After bringing out the food he did apologize and took the meals off the bill. Food was GREAT just didn't like waiting so long for our food. If where back in Texas we will give them another try.
