So me and my family went to this place for dinner on our last night in Fort Lauderdale and it wasn’t too bad. The service was pretty good and the Buffalo shrimp we did get for an appetizer was pretty good. As far as my meal, the jambalaya, it was ok, the only reason I got this was because I remember sometimes this specific meal was served at my school cafeteria so I wanted to try it here. This version had a more gourmet taste to it and was ok. All aside I do recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a place to eat in Fort Lauderdale
We chose to come to this restaurant because we saw it was pet friendly and we had wanted to bring our dogs with us because we had no choice to leave them in the car. The first moment we get to the restaurant, within the first minute, the host at the door was already being rude. We were being seated outside and asked where would be the best place with the best air conditioning because it was a hot day, with an irritated face she said, “i don’t know” and threw down the utensils onto the table. After looking at how she acted the whole time we were here, we assumed there might have been some racist feeling towards us as we were speaking Spanish towards each other and she was mean to us but everyone else she was smiling and conversing and came back to their tables to even ask how they were doing. The only other issue which was minor was that the tables and menus smelled a little weird like moldy ocean water or something of the such, but that’s acceptable since it’s right next to the beach.
If you aren’t sure where to eat in Ft. Lauderdale, this is a great place to start! We received excellent service from our two very polite, friendly waitresses and the wait time was almost nonexistent. Our food came out with great portion sizes (we both took home leftovers) and tasted fantastic. Definitely check out the dinner specials!
