Proud Rooster Restaurant

This place is one of the rarest gems. There is nothing else like it in Cincinnati. The food is splendid, they make the best breakfast sandwiches in the city, a perfect hot country breakfast, and a handful of delicious lunch options (club sandwich, chicken tenders, etc.). And on top of the fantastic food, it is priced as if it was still the year of its genesis: you can eat, drink, tax, tip for under 10$ easily. It is an old school diner from times passed preserved in stasis, and the best breakfast spot in the queen city.

Went to proud rooster many times during undergrad for breakfast and finally made it back a few years later. This will always be one of my favorite hidden gems in Clifton. You cannot beat the prices especially for the quality of food. This time I finally tried the fried chicken and it was so good! Hope to make it back again soon when I am in Cincinnati one time as this place is such a good eat. It is cash only- which we knew going in as we’ve been before but just a heads up if you’ve never been. We’ve gotten all kinds of things on the menu before from pancakes to French toast to omelettes, hoagies and more and have never been disappointed.

I met friends there for breakfast. We had good service and a nice menu selection at reasonable prices. The food was very good and served hot. Payment is cash only.
