Potbelly

I always order the same sandwich, the Italian, any time I go to Potbelly. On more than one occasion, the Italian sandwich I receive at the Buffalo Grove location doesn't meet the usual standards of the other locations I've been to. It either tastes weird, like it's missing one of the meat varieties, or I receive a sandwich with hardly any filling (the ratio is more bread than meat/cheese/toppings). Considering this is one of the more expensive sandwiches on the menu, I expect to get what I'm paying for. I'll go to the Vernon Hills or Wheeling locations in the future. I don't experience this issue at either of those establishments, and I've given the Buffalo Grove Potbelly more than enough chances.

Today is national sandwich day, or so my app informed me. So I took advantage of their BOGO special. Ordered the Mediterranean and a Veggie for in store pick up. Added some lettuce Tomatoes and onions to each. I do walk in pickup to get the walking steps. Order was ready when I arrived. Bag easy to get to on the shelf just inside the door. Sandwiches ???? customized as I asked. Tasts great.

I'm changing my review down to 2 stars from 5 and don't think I'll visit this place again if I encounter the same lady manager that was there today 7/22 eve. I was a regular customer until I got a treatment with attitude today from some apparently inexperienced manager for no reason. I don't know what her problem is, I don't think I saw her there before; it felt like she is the customer not me. I feel for any coworkers with her; if this is her attitude even with customers, I bet coworkers there must be treated even worse by her. The food and service by the workers doing the sandwiches is still very good but the cashier / manager ruin that and surely the atmosphere rating.
