Delivery service is terrible. 0 for 3 in the last month. Placed orders using the Portillos app, and they use Doordash for delivery, and all 3 times food was not delivered insted they offer free fries and offer a refund. They don't check the orders before they go out the door. The 2 companies point fingers at each other playing the blame game and still make the same mistakes. Ridiculous!

I've lived in Austin, TX since 2019 but make it back to the Chicagoland area at least 1x/year. My annual trips include 1 or more stops to Portillos to pick up bottles of salad dressing. During this trip, I noticed a sign for a plant based hot dog. In the past, I've asked for the hot dog without the 'dog', which was my go to since 1995 when I became a pescatarian & figured I'd try it out since the grilled tuna disappeared. Of course, cheese fries are a must as well since they do not exist in Austin. I was amazed at how good the hot dog tasted. The bun was steamed & the toppings were fresh. The fries were crispy & the cheese hot. I just wish someone would open a Portillos in Austin! Vegetarian options: Plant based hot dog
