Great staff, iconic food, awesome vibe. You can tell it was great by the incredibly long drive thru line. A great experience. Vegetarian options: Salads, grilled cheeses, desserts, etc... Kid-friendliness: Saw a lot of kids with parents eating there. Parking: Parking was easy. There were more patrons driving through.
I've been to many of the portillos locations, but this is one of the originals. Great, fast food, fast service. We both got the plant dogs as we are veg, and loved them. Retro 50s diner vibe at this location. If you have wheels, this is all on one level, and has tables that would fine. Vegetarian options: My wife and I are both veg, and love the portobello burger and plant based dog.
I know it is a dis service to be in Chicago and visit a chain for a Chicago Dog BUT I honestly couldn’t pass up the historic bright green relish! The all beef hot dog was delish and the Italian Beef on bread deep perfectly was awesome!
