Overated. The food quality and the service seems to be going down every year. No one smiled from any staff at this restaurant and the hamburgers were always over done with way too many condiments. The max well street polish is a better choice.
Wow they are just cheating us now. I ordered 1 cheese sauce and 2 fries, but the guy charged us for 2. And my broiled chicken sandwich, chicken piece is way smaller than my bun, it looks like a piece was taken off, but upon closer inspection it has golden color all around the missing looking area. But on other side it looks like a chunk was ripped off. Wow of all the lousy ways to save a buck. Who in their right mind thinks it's ok to even make a sandwich with a piece this small. Avoid this location!
I was craving a delicious Hot Dog and Portillo's did not disappoint. I had a Chicago Style Dog with everything on it. I also had their moist and oh so good Chocolate Cake. My husband had an Italian Beef Combo, which I tasted and it too was delicious. Everyone was so nice and the atmosphere was very nice and clean. When I go back, I will visit Portillo's Elgin.
