Portillo's Hot Dogs

I love Portillo’s but I am so tired of being disappointed by this location. The employees have an attitude and don’t even pay attention to the orders. They’ll try to tell you they don’t make salads after 9 pm if you order at the window, but you can order a salad after 9 pm online! The management could care less. I don’t know why they spent so much time and effort into a new building just to give mediocre service and food. When my family comes into town and ask for Chicago staple foods, Portillo’s is always on their list. I never take them to this location, to embarrassing.

They let another person walk out with my order and blame me for it . Staff is too busy playing with their coworkers & not paying attention to the food going out to the right people . Anyone can easily come in and take the food. Rude staff … More

This is a great Portillo's with a fast drive-thru. The italian beef is alright, but the Beef 'n Cheddar croissant is where it's at! And don't sleep on the charbroiled bacon cheeseburger, it's awesome. Their chocolate cake is extra moist because they use mayonnaise (yeah really!) which if you think about it, is really just emulsified egg & oil. The seasonal lemon cake and strawberry shortcake are fantastic, too!
