I haven't been to Porkie's in a long time, not because it isn't good but because I don't venture to that side of town much. But, today we were and I knew exactly where I wanted lunch from. It was exactly like I remembered it, delicious! The staff was super friendly and made good suggestions. I don't know when I'll get over there again but I'll gladly go back.
We got very lucky today. We stopped in at Porkies not knowing what to expect. We are new to the area. We were greeted with welcomes and big smiles from all the counter staff. That made us feel very welcomed. We had a party of 7. Our orders were taken right a way at the counter and given our drinks quickly. We sat down at our tables and our server(jesse) came out to make sure we had everything we needed. Jesse was very professional and has a great smile. ???? Our food began coming out ever so quickly. Those that follow me know I rarely use this word unless the food is above and beyond expectations.....but it was "fantabulous". Just so you know, it was fantastic and fabulous all in one. I picked the 4 meat plate, it was amazing. Chopped ribs, chicken(dark), brisket, and babyback ribs. Everything absolutely YUMM. The whole family was beyond happy with their choices ☺️. I tell you folks with absolute certainty WE WILL BE BACK!!!! Thanks again Jesse for great service.
After finishing a 27 mile ride around parts of Lake Apopka, I was in need of a refueling. Porkie’s hit the spot. Brisket, ribs, pork, chicken, they have it all. Being famished, I grabbed the pulled pork sandwich, with baked beans and potato salad. Each was tasty and served quick. If you like sauces, they Have a tray of six to choose from (I liked the Troubles Gold). After reading the reviews I will be back for the brisket, and ribs. If you are a BBQ fan, certainly stop here when in the area.
