Me and my husband both like onions however, our Carnitas chimichanga had an entire onion in it!!! We ate alot of onions with our meal and this is what was left over!!
We sat in back of restaurant. That wasn’t an issue however it could use some cleaning. We ordered the #1 combo. Not a fan. Refried beans appeared old. Or have been sitting in oven for extended period of time. The food was way to salty. Good indicator that much is canned. The beer was good. How does it get five stars?!?!?!
My family has been coming to Popo’s for decades. They have two locations in the west valley. Amazingly, the food tastes the same at both locations. With every ounce of objectivity I can muster, this is the best Mexican food in all of Arizona. Tips: 1) Ask for the “hot sauce” with your chips; 2) My signature order is the red chili burrito, mixed with beans and cheese; 3) The steak fajitas are great too
