Pop Kitchen

I rarely post reviews anymore but felt the need to share that the practices at this restaurant are shady. For takeout, I ordered a full Hainan chicken set and only received the chicken without any rice or soup. The waitress told me that I needed to order from them directly, but when I tried to order from their website, it was missing a ton of items including veggies and beverages so I had to order from another platform. The only time I really order Hainan chicken is when I crave the rice so this was a let down. The HK style milk tea was also not good because the tea tasted over-steeped and had a strong tannin flavor. Lastly, the string beans looked day old and was mixed with a fresher batch. $60 (doesn't include tip) for Hainan chicken with no rice or soup, questionable string beans, and two subpar milk teas. I will not be back!

Unique Chinese restaurant where they steam the food in front of you. Wide variety of dishes, and all the ones I tried were pretty good.

Steaming with the clear bowl shaped lid was fun. the whole contraption was steampunk-ish & seeing my friend jump when the lid automatically lift up when the cooking was done was amusing. Everything tasted good but presentation wise steaming frozen dumplings was underwhelming. Parking: lots of parking available in the strip mall. Pop Kitchen is in the inside corner.
