First time In Chicago and I say we'll take advantage must be PR food near by. I am a truck driver food got deliver. I have to say after so many years in US and many PR food places. This one brought me back to las alcapurias y relleno de papa como la escuela superior en Vega Baja. Espero q si vuelvo voy a comer en el restaurante todo rico Update review I reorder. The restaurant not sure why will put a drink that's in a cup inside the bag with the food the entire drink was spill. So no drink. And food didn't have same taste apparently different cook
Don’t place orders through the website, they won’t follow up on them. The waitress said it’s better to call, but they won’t pick up the phone. I heard quite a few different calls ringing during the 30 minutes I waited for an order that I had placed 45 minutes before getting there and no one was picking up, it wasn’t terribly busy either. The food isn’t as good as it used to be, and the service is worse. The frituras are under par, they soak too much oil and have very little filling to them, the tostones are always hard, and the rice is hit or miss, but it can be amazing sometimes. Ordered carne guisa and only got 3 little chunks of meat, but it was decent as far as flavor goes. They haven’t lost me completely yet, but the other options in the area keep looking better and better.
Went in for lunch with my mom and dad, food was exceptional but service was less than average. There were only 2 staff members on the dining floor in which they did not check up on us throughout our meal. We waited about 20 mins to get a box and our check but unfortunately they never came, we had to get up and ask them to ring us up. May sound a little silly but the customer service at Ponce should definitely be reassessed.
