The staff was pleasant, hardworking, fast. But the chicken was dry, like leather. It is usually juicy. I have eaten in many Pollo Tropical places and they are usually excellent so don't give up. Try a different one. The rice and beans was good and so were the fried plantings. The avocado was ice cold and dark from refrigeration. The cilantro sauce was also excellent
I have always loved pollo tropical but I stopped going since I removed meat and poultry from my diet. I was very excited when I saw they had the vegan wrap offering. I was extremely disappointed with the reality. The wrap had barely any beyond meat or beans and was mostly rice, even though I specifically asked for little rice. The proportions were so imbalanced that i took a picture because it was crazy. Be sure to swing by if you ever want a rice wrap! Also I dont know why they are called wraps when they are clearly burritos, calling it a wrap is just misleading consumers into thinking they are choosing healthier options when they aren’t. Offering the tropichop veggie toppings in the burrito* would be nice. I wasnt asked if I wanted any and I dont know if it would be extra but they really are necessary.
Okayish, but not recommended. It used to have a very friendly and nice staff but the attention was very cold and dry, and the restaurant wasn't very crowded to expect the staff to be in a hurry and stressed. I also had high expectations, from my previous visits and memories of a tasty, juicy, decently sized chicken pieces, with the lemon-ish taste... Not anymore. Small pieces, not very tasty, and not even warm-ish for a place with very few customers. The only "good thing" was that the price - of the meal- was reasonable, cheaper than other restaurants; but the price of the "fountain drink" was very expensive - 2.59, and no refill. So, not recommended.
