4.5 Star. Overall. Non-addicting, comfortable, authentic, genuine Taiwanese food that does not have an over-the-top sickening feel like most restaurants (if you dine out too frequently). No added MSG. A “homely” feel, good enough to stop by any day. Love the rotating lunch special menu. Would definitely add this to my “OK for regular visits” list or a convenient take-out place. 4.5 Star. Food. Daily lunch special combo offer that comes with a large green or black tea drink (add $1 to upgrade to other drinks on the menu, or add $0.50 for boba (5 star boba!)), a few small refillable side dishes (3 Star taste), and good portion for a good price. $7.95 Popcorn chicken combo, $9.95 combo of Dan Dan Mien (mildly spicy and flavorful) + meat and fish ball soup (bland and unsalted to balance out the strong flavored noodle), and the $4.95 boiled vegetables were all satisfying. Green tea is made just right with +$0.50 super chewy and soft boba. A complimentary tiny scoop of green tea ice cream wi
This place needs to be closed. Not ever going back. Sticky table sticky tray that you don't want to get your hands on. The waitress looked mad and acted pretty rude. The seaweed tasted like it's been left in the water for a century. No fries no tofu and she didn't want to make the shaved ice so that's a no too. Apart from all above, the entrées were tasteless. Now I'm waiting for my burger from next door. Thanks polar land. You need to move to the pole to invite some polar bears to eat.
Went to pick up food from Polarland last week, and found leftover sponge and scraps in the soup. When I called the manager about jt, he was defensive, and try to claim that its the customers fault for not checking food before! The management can seriously use some reconsideration about taking hygiene seriously, especially during pandemic.
