Polar Bear

I know they have delish ice cream from years past! This visit was bad. They were busy and we were happy to wait our turn. We waited in line for 15 or 20 minutes and made it to the register. There were 3 people working at roughly the pace of molasses is January. Not one of them said a word. Not "hi" not "be with you asap" not "just a minute" literally no acknowledgement. We waited another 5 minutes watching them work. Again, they were busy. Totally get it and happy to wait my turn. But one of them should have said SOMETHING! It was pretty rude actually and we decided to leave without ever a word having been spoken. Understand that a "Hi, be with you as soon as I can!" isn't a huge ask. I'd have happily waited another 20 minutes if only they'd have acknowledged us. It isn't the same place I grew up visiting.

Polar bear is only open during the summer but they have everything you want! Green River soda pop, Sundays ice cream cones, frozen chocolate covered bananas homemade chicken sandwiches nachos Chicago hot dogs yum yum yum place has been around since 1948 and a big polar bear sign will greet you picnic tables outside small place with a lot of flavor!

I don't eat ice cream much but I did enjoy the ice cream and outdoor seating is nice. the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The only downside is it's a bit pricey but I will definitely come back when I'm in this area.
