I was visiting Coronado, but live in OC. I visit poke places weekly, and this is one of the best I've had. Widest variety of protein and toppings I've seen in a long time. Some very unique options, too. I only dropped 1 Star because of price. A large bowl and soda = 20 bucks. Everything on the island is pricy, but that's the most expensive poke quick service I've ever had. They also do 4 scoops of protein instead of 5 like many other places with the same size bowl. Despite the price, I'll be here several more times during my trip.
Fish and the ingredients were super fresh but it was really bland and the rice was dry. For the highest ratings in the area I expected better honestly. Unless I had a piece of pickled ginger with each bite it tasted like nothing - except for the three bites that actually managed to have the sauce I ordered on them. Very underwhelming. Also! I was really disappointed I was only given a fork and no chopsticks, lame.
Very delicious food and friendly people. I recommend the 1-2-3 tuna. Went back multiple time during this visit to San Diego.
