PJ's Tavern

We went for lunch to try out there well-known Ruben's sandwiches. They lived up to there fame of delicious rye bread with a large amount of corned beef which was not fatty. A nice amount of cheese and dressing. The sandwich was very large and delicious. I had tea with it which was good but maybe not the best choice to go with this corned beef sandwich. Not sure what would have been better. Maybe my friends choice of root beer would have been the key. I had the creamy coleslaw on the side and my friend had the shoe string French fries which was a very generous amount. Although they were very busy the service was relatively fast. Cozy little tavern. Beer was cold. Had a PJ'S burger - 7/10. Wings - 7/10. The service was a little sluggish. Granted, it was a Saturday afternoon, but it still seemed a little slow. Regardless, I would come back.

Never had a bad meal. Lunch or dinners have been very good. Great service. Drinks are great and the restaurant is close to many things to do in Kirkwood. I recommend.
