Pizzas By Marchelloni

I have fond memories of this pizza from my childhood, but haven’t had it in over 20 years. The food is exactly how I remember it being, and I was very happy to be enjoying it again

We've been in Joliet for over 7 years and had yet to find a replacement for our favorite Pizza shop, the now defunct John & Eddie's up in Lyle. We've found our pizza! Marchelloni's is awesome, classical, "American style" pizza that harkens back to when sauce was sauce. A good, robust, zesty sauce that screams tomato is now largely missing from pizzas. Marchelloni's delivers this in a way that reminds me of my favorite childhood pizza shop. It is the BEST. For crust connoisseurs, Marchelloni's gets my highest marks there too. We initially tried the Bonzo, an homage to classic Italian beef. I don't generally like meat on pizzas, I LOVED the Bonzo. We have since tried several others, all good, but what is most telling is that Marchelloni's incarnation of the simplest of simple pizzas, the humble cheese pizza, is absolutely satisfying and mouth watering! We now have no further need of any other pizza!

The pizza didn't taste that good, we were overcharged for a spinach roll. When my wife called to inquire about being overcharged she was told that she did not order it correctly. When my wife asked to speak to the manager she was not allowed and that if we were to order keep going to order in the future she would take care of us. We will never order from them again.
