Pizza Republica - Downtown Denver

Really overpriced! But, with that being said it was one of the best pizzas in Denver!! Now, there are a lot of newly opened pizza places giving Republica a run for their money, but I still find myself coming back whenever I'm in downtown Denver, as their cheese pizza is always a hit and never a miss. Also, you are paying heightened prices as you are at the heart of Denver with culture, coolness, and fun surrounding this restaurant!

I came here several times prior to the pandemic before shows at the DCPA, and always enjoyed it! Returning recently for dinner, I and my whole group were underwhelmed. The service was fine, but the food was disappointing. To me it seems to be a combination of preparation issues (the meatball, with pork, was slightly under-cooked) and recipes (the sausage wasn't great and the spices in my dish just didn't really work). Overall it's okay, and it's such a great location, but I really hope Pizza Republica can improve on the food to make this a truly great place to stop before/after events in that area.

Solid spot! We came here after leaving a place across the street. I got some pesto style gnocchi and it was good. Was it the best I've had, no...but I still ate it all! The drinks were fairly priced and they were tasty. Our waiter/bartender was awesome. The guy with tattoos and black hair. I don't recall his name but he was fantastic. The single meatball my husband got was very tasty and the pasta dish our friend got was also very good. We didn't have reservations but they seated us quickly and service was spectacular. I wish we were all hungrier because so much on the menu looks fantastic! We stopped here before going to a show at the Ellie Caulkins Opera house so we were in a bit of a rush. Highly recommend. Affordable, premium flavors and friendly staff!
