Piastra Restaurant

Ate at Piastra for the first time this evening. Their reputation proceeded itself as for all my friends and family have been dining here for years and loving it. I have to admit, I roll my eyes whenever someone says they have a great Italian restaurant for me to try. As for most all are run of the mill and no different than the next American version of Italian food. Having had first and second generation Italian friends growing up, I know what true Italian food is like and well PIASTRA IS THAT! I must say it was even better than the hype. I had the Tagliatelle Nero di Mare….hand rolled (made in house) black and white ribbon pasta with Little Neck Clams, Mussels, Garlic, Calabrese Chilies (not spicy just flavorful), and white wine. I typically do not prefer clams and mussels but these will blow your mind with flavor. Had my rehearsal dinner here last Friday and it couldn't have gone better. The chef was really friendly and professional on the phone as well as the other staff I spoke to. Also the prices were very reasonable, especially compared to other options in the area that I looked at. The food and service were great and they made accommodations for our guests with dietary needs very easy. Overall it was a great and stress free experience.

Great variety on the menu, great service, and tasty food. The drink menu is multiple pages and food menu has something for everyone. Our waitress was very attentive and patient with our questions. We his was a great dinner experience!
