Pho Hong Thom

Disclosure: I’m a Vietnamese food noob, I make no claims to knowing what “real”Vietnamese food tastes like. I ordered pho dac viet, grilled pork on vermicelli, fried spring rolls and beef bahn mi. Everything was really good and the ingredients were good quality. I would order from here again. I also ordered the same items from pho nha trang in Fairfield. For comparisons sake, I’d say Thom’s flavors are deeper than Trang’s. The grilled pork seasoning, the roll filling, the broth and the dipping sauce (nuoc Cham) all had a depth reflecting the extra consideration and work going into the food. The cut of beef Trang’s used for their bahn mi worked better though. Thom’s was a chewier, gotta-tear-off-a-piece-like-it’s-a -fresh-kill quality. But Thom’s seasoning of the beef and the pickled vegetables inside the sandwich were still better lol.

Excellent pho, the broth was flavorful with fresh herbs and vegetables, great noodles, and tender medium rare beef, the only complaint I have is during the summer time dining indoors eating hot soup with chili and no AC or even a fan can be a bit uncomfortable, but still worth checking out if your local or passing by

Absolutely amazing, I love this place and will probably never get tired of eating here. The people are so kind and they treat you like a friend. Plus the food is extremely delicious, you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu!
