Philly's Original Steak

Everybody knows that Chicago is the Food Mecca. There are many strip mall restaurants all over Chicagoland with simple names like “Philly’s”, and the city is big on all things steak. My Dad lives just down the street and I passed this place many times but never bothered to stop in. Dad wanted me to get him their famous VIP Sandwich from here. I realize that my family got those from here all the time. So I ordered one, too. MAYIN...lemme tell YOU...it’s got at least three meats in it, and the size is so colossal that it took two meals for me to finish it. That VIP was a SLAMMINNNNN meaty, cheesy big hunk of OMG. Watching the kitchen crew make the food was as mesmerizing as every bite. Their menu has a ton of options, and you get a ton of food. When you got neon signs behind greasy windows, I knew I was in the right place! It’s located near the edge of the city (Burnham) but it’s really easy to get to off of Torrence Ave. Highly recommended.

Tnx to a great friend of mind who introduced me to there tacos. I must say they are phenomenal. Especially the chicken tacos !!!

Y’all trippin saying they drag. My order was served fresh and fast within 10 minutes. Ordered the VIP special chicken Philly that comes with extra meat. It was bussin. Fills you right up with a cold pop/lemonade. People are nice and good service. Will definitely stop by here again when working around this area. Don’t be fooled either. Cheese/and or cream sauce is not on top of sandwich. They smart. They mix it within the sandwich and under the meat. 10/10
