It's a decent restaurant with plenty of options on the menu. The service is a bit late and the ambiance is a let down given it's in Union Square. Must try dishes include the broiled chicken and all of the desserts. Parking: Park in Union Square parking lot and walk.
Giving 2 stars: 1 for Mo Salah pic on the wall and the other for my son's chicken shawarma as it was good. My lamb shank was tasteless unfortunately. Presentation as you see is not great. Pickles and it's water with the salad and the rice along with the bread are all on the same plate. I couldn't eat the meat, though I consider myself not to be picky. I don't like to post such reviews for smaller restaurants but I hope this is a reminder to the chef and owner to improve their food.
Delicious Egyptian food at reasonable prices. Many vegan/vegetarian friendly options. Ordered the Pharaohs Falafel Wrap which had falafels and garlic eggplants. It was fresh and crisp. The artwork added to the ambience. Stringent covid requirements. Had to show proof of full vaccination for dine in and wearing masks indoors except while eating was duly enforced.
