Phở Whittier

I got it to go but still was very good. Huge bowl of soup with great broth and loads of noodles and meat. Update: we got to go and sit and eat inside yesterday, finally. I was pleased with all aspects. Clean, neat, fast, polite service and did I mention excellent soup. Going back!

It’s okay. Not stellar, the owners seem to think their food is really good. But we are in Whittier, so limited availability of pho, so we will settle for it. Tried to pay with Amex and was told they don’t take it because it’s too expensive to process. This is very common with Asian eateries. Short minded business decisions. People want to pay with their Amex because it’s often a company card. That means if you make me pull out my own Visa card, I’m paying for this with my own money and not company money. I would absolutely avoid an establishment if I have a choice. They don’t seem to understand that and the fact that an Amex user will spend more at your eatery than most. It’s a statistical truth. So save your $0.20 processing fee but lose higher paying clients. That’s definitely not doing SMART business, but short sighted business. Won’t be back.
