P.F. Chang's

My family and I love this place. They have always been great. But yesterday , unfortunately, they were not as good as always. Let's start with , I made a reservation for 12 for 930pm for my daughters graduation at the beginning of the week. After being notified by her school that the ceremony would take approximately 2.5 hours, I called back to change the reservation for 10pm, mind you , the restaurant closes at 11pm. The first time my girlfriend called to change the reservation, she was told they don't take parties that big after 10 since they close at 11pm. I thought it was odd since that has never been an issue before. I went ahead and called them back , a guy named Chris answered and he was the nicest person , I explained what the previous person told my girlfriend and he apologized and said our reservation was switched to 10pm on Friday. We get there at 945pm to find out they canceled our reservation, and the hostess proceeded to say they didn't take big parties in the last hour.

We usually love dining in P.F. Chang's. I am writing 3 star because what happened to us might be a special case and not a usual scenario. We walked inside the restaurant and immediately felt unpleasant odor so we decided to ask hostesses to sit us outside. Inside the whole restaurant 1 table was taken by patrons. Hostesses was nice but right away she informed us we needed to wait 5 to 10 min to get a table because only 1 server was scheduled during that time frame even though whole restaurant was almost empty. We understand sometimes some establishments have issues with staffing especially nowadays. We decided to walk outside and sit down. Restaurant ouside sitting was not very appealing to say it nicely. Tables were sticky and chairs were dirty and stained. At that point me and my family decided to eat in other P.F Chang's franchise. We drove one close to our home in North Miami location. My mom wanted to come here for her birthday and we had a great time. The server and service was flawless and the food was good. 5 stars all around.
