Petey's II Restaurant

I am sorry to say.... We will not be going here again.... Which is sad for me as I grew up going to this restaurant and have many good memories there. We just had a concert in Tinley and my husband and I said~ Petey’s for sure!!! Our friends were hesitant~ but trusted us. Well it was a disaster! When we walked in (no reso) we had to wait about 7 minutes for anyone to come to the desk to seat us ( I was on the phone) The place smelled~ not just like water damage or mold but something more ???? Then our friends arrive, only to hear the man that came to the desk say, that he “can not sit us” ~ they are under staffed. Some people didn’t show up. Now, the restaurant was pretty full ~ bright lights ( fluorescent) and people were serving. We moved to the bar to figure out what to do~ only to wait even longer to order a drink. There was about 5 people at the bar ~ the bar tender was just slow and kind of rude. I had a white wine that was flat and warm. Ugh~ the memories that I have of this pla

Excellent food, phenomenal waitstaff and prices well under what I would expect for the superb quality of food and service. Everything about this place I'd great, my wife and I can't get enough and we both tend to be picky food snobs. I seen a negative review about the quality and price and after reading the review it was clear as day that person wasn't giving an honest review based on the quality of food, price or service instead giving a biased review because they didn't like a sign on the door. Your attempt to smear an excellent restaurant not because of their food or service was thinly veiled and frankly disgusting.

My husband and I went to Peteys today. Lived in the area for 40 yrs and had never been before. The dining room was beautiful. The food was delicious... pepper steak and prime rib. The salad was a little lacking (iceberg only), one cherry tomato and 2 bits of cucumber. The bread was warm and delicious. Service was good. Wish we hadn't been seated right in front of the kitchen door. The room had only 2 other seated tables at the time, so there were other seating options that should have been offered to us. Overall, it was a pleasant enough visit.
