Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

I've been to this restaurant several times over the years and don't recall ever having a bad experience--until today (10/18/2022). A friend and I went for breakfast. Our male server (30s?) was friendly, we didn't have to wait long for our food, and the food was good. The reason for two stars is because of the cashier. The server left one receipt with both orders on it at our table. When we got to the cashier, I asked if the bill could be split (that's never been an issue before). The cashier, a gal who appeared to be in her 30s-40s, blond/brown hair about shoulder length, rings on almost all her fingers, different polish/design on each nail, and a very plunging black top, seemed annoyed at having to ring us up separately. I paid first. When my total came up on the screen, I slipped my credit card into the slot at the top of the card reader. A couple seconds later the screen directed me to remove my card, which I did. Saw a server be rude to a customer. Granted, he did try to take something off the tray in a way that would have made it tip, but she did not handle it gracefully. Meanwhile, our server was fine. Perkins is wonderfully amazing, with A++ service and food.... Servers and very friendly and helpful with all your needs... The cooks will shock your taste buds with the tasty foods they send to your table... Fell as if I am one of the Perkins family when I dine with them... Phae, Chris and Chris are wonderful managers that help you and never to busy to stop by your table and say hi and have a chat... Thank you Perkins Maplewood... Kid-friendliness: Perkins has highchairs and booster seats, as well as an awesome kids menu... Not to mention the cookies... Parking: Lots and lots of parking... Perkins seems to have the biggest parking lot in the area
