I love Pepperjacks but have never been to Howard Street though. I ordered delivery with Ubereats. Food came quickly and was correct. Except there was a black hair in my steak rice bowl :( bummer. The rest of our food was good but losing a main dish didn't make me happy. I called over there and someone answered but when I asked for a manager, the call was mysteriously disconnected.
Price was up there, however good fries (I asked without salt) and the sandwich was worth the 30 minute down and back walk. Staff were friendly and even raced outside when I dropped something during checkout to return it. Very appreciated. I’d recommend the trip to check them out!
I have loved PepperJax since I was an undergrad student in Kansas. I was surprised & happy they had a branch in Omaha. So I had to try it! What makes this branch different is the manager. The story is: when I went their and was waiting on the line. An upset doordasher was complaining and raising his voice on the cashier that they were delaying him. The manager suddenly came out from no where and stood for her employee and said it clearly and respectfully, dont you ever talk to my employees like this, she got him the order herself and for sure everyone was happy. Even me! I don't know her name & and I am not sure if there are 1 or 2 managers working on shifts, but she is the chocolate skin one. This manager really deserves a reward! Thank you
