I go to Pepes for their breakfast burritos but this one isn't all that great. I order the bacon breakfast burrito and there's hardly any bacon. I go through most of the burrito just eating beans, cheese, potatoes and eggs (which I have to admit, those items are made good) and with a few hidden pieces of bacon. But when I used to live in Monterey Park, I would go to the Alhambra location and that place was great. Sometimes it was too much. But you get what you're looking for.
This place is very ok. The quality and taste of the breakfast burritos i ordered was subpar in comparison to the Baldwin park, Alhambra, and West Covina locations, but the shredded beef tacos were on point. While there was apparent effort put forth by the crew to provide quality service time at the drive-thru window was extensive due to poor management. The food is good but not the best and the team does there best.
On Sunday 10/23 I ordered my usual California Burrito on Uber Eats. As always I asked for NO CHEESE and HOT SAUCE on the side. They put extra cheese and included no hot sauce. They are always so good but this time the cook was an idiot. I am still giving 5 star because they are honestly always good.
