Peking Dragon Restaurant

Finally, Chinese food on West Coast thats pretty close to East coast style. It was a picture of an egg roll posted by a reviewer that compelled me to drive 35 min in opposite direction from where I was headed. The egg roll size and external texture were close, the filling lacked the spices but had cabbage, shrimp and crumpled pork. Served with hot mustard and duck sauce. A win in my book! Also had a glass Japanese plum wine. My entree was kung pao chicken. It was properly prepared. Every ingredient was diced and in relative size. Except the peanuts, of course. The aroma hit me first. I just breathed in the aroma for a moment before my first bite. No disappointment here. The decor was original late 80s booths and backing in pastel and muted colors like teal and dusty rose. Good quality and tasty food. Our group of three people loved sizzling rice soup, garlic chicken and Mongolian beef. We’ll be back for sure!
