I am completely shocked at the reviews I read. My brother and I stopped in for breakfast Saturday morning (5/29/21). We were seated quickly at a table next to the door. On the opposite side of the door sat a family with two small children. Although I admit that the kids were a little loud and obnoxious, I don't think that it's appropriate for "Brooke" (the waitress) to swear ("Jesus Christ") under her mask as she walked by our table because of it. I also don't think it was appropriate for her (or any employee for that matter) to literally applaud when the family left or comment to SEVERAL tables "thank God they're gone." On to the food... I ordered a half of a steak sandwich. Our server (I think someone called her by the name of Kathleen or Catherine maybe) asked if I wanted peppers on it. I said no. That was my only request. As you can see from the photo, that was too much to ask. My brother's breakfast looked like quite a large portion - until he picked up the toast that
The food was good and cheap! What more could you ask for? I loved visiting here. It’s a total Mom & Pop yinzer diner. The sever was a kind young lady. It was completely unlike the negative reviews I read before eating here. The mugs were all mixedmatched and I loved that vibe. There were a bunch of old guys eating, and they were clearly regulars. My biggest takeaway: Don’t expect everything to be pristine, because it’s a very casual local spot. My companion said she could taste that they used cheap fake margarine on the toast, but that was her only complaint (and she’s picky!). I would like to see more vegetarian options, but I understand that their demographic is traditional. Last thing- I’d ask that someone dusts the ceiling vents. I can deal with some restaurant grime, it adds character in my opinion, but the very dusty vent did bother me.
Stopped in for breakfast. They have no parking. Place was very loud. Regulars yelling from table to table. We sat at the counter because there were 3 waitresses there. All 3 ignored us. Very dirty, back door was open for flies to come in. Waited for 10 minutes and no one said anything to us so we just left. Never again.
