Park Avenue Grill

Very disappointing Valentines experience. The place was not overly crowded yet our server immediately complained about how “crazy” it was. Had to ask the server and then the manager for a drink/wine list, one should have already been on the table. Took 20 minutes to finally get our drinks. The special menu for two sounded appetizing and the 1st & 2nd (soup&salad) were good but the main course was not. I’ve had better steak at Logan’s and the salmon was over cooked and dry. The dessert was cheap and unimaginative. We saw our server 3 times, 1st took our order, 2nd refilled and spilled my water and didn’t even check my wife’s water, then 3rd dropped off our check. The manager actually came to get our check and credit card, that’s when we let him know how bad the service was. He was kind enough to comp our meal with an apology. Adding insult to injury, the valets never even moved my vehicle from where I left it and took nearly 5 minutes to find my keys.

They have a wonderful buffet with lots of options but if you want a real treat I would order the steak and eggs. The sauce that comes with the steak and eggs is incredible. Fast friendly service in a comfortable environment.

I had breakfast at this restaurant as a guest of the hotel and I wasn’t impressed with what I ordered. The service was fine and the staff was receptive to our comments but it didn’t negate the fact that it was overpriced and the execution of the dish (corned beef hash) was poor.
