I had a Steak sandwich and it was very bland, not at all tasted like a Puerto Rican steak sandwich. It was filled with lettuce and tomatoes but the steak was very little. The music is so LOUD that you can't hear what they're saying or they can't hear your order and you have to repeat yourself, and the young man rolled his eyes with an attitude because my husband asked to please lower the music so he can place our order. The area is nice, crisp air and the area was clean but the service needs some work. The food needs some flavor to meet the criteria of real Puerto Rican Food. I am Puerto Rican born and raised in the Bronx, with cooking experience of 40 to 43 yes and if you allow me to give you some constructive criticism as an experienced cook and previous owner of many social clubs with food service in the Bronx, your customer service needs to change and you really need to add some good seasoning to perk up that food.
I wish I could give them zero stars because for 2 alcapuras and a relleno de papa that are already frozen that just need to be fried for a couple minutes I waited for an hour which is ridiculous.. my family and I came all the way from Fort Lauderdale and it was a major waste of our time!! DONT STOP HERE!!! if you want your time wasted then come!
I ordered to go 2 Empanadillas de carne, a pernil sandwich Aka pan con lechon, mofongo con chuleta(pork chops) and a side order of arroz con guandules, 2 sprites and a malta. Now Here is my Honest Review, lets start with the Empanadillas...They were tasty I absolutely think they nailed it and didn't over cook it. The pernil sandwich was Good as per my Sons i gotta tell you its a big enough sandwich where as 2 kids can share it. The Mofongo was EXCELLENT its hard to find GOOD tasting MOFONGO thats not to dry or to moist in polk county. The chuletas unfortunately were under cooked i bit into them and it was pink inside i had to fry them an extra 10 min to fully cook them but after they were done they had good flavor. The Arroz con Guandules.....the last item on our list ???? tasted Good, i prefer more olives but to each its own it was still Good. Overall i Enjoyed my Food i Give them a 4 out of 5 just because I had to finish cooking my Chuleta at home. Other than that it would've bee
