Pancheros Mexican Grill

Almost no customers at 6pm and with 5 staff members the service was still slow. Simpsons was on the tv and cranked loud and the queso was runny and oddly grainy. The ingredients did not seem well prepared and my chicken quesadilla was nothing I'd expect from a great franchise. Do yourself a favor and just head to pancheros on 86th street, so much better.

We went around lunch time on a Wednesday. It wasn’t busy when we got there and we were helped right away and our food was correct. The food however is very mediocre. Not much flavoring, tastes watered down. My husband got a chicken burrito with mild salsa, pico de gallo and sour cream and said he barely tasted any salsa and the main flavor of the whole burrito was sour cream. I got a carnitas salad the texture of the meat was good, but once again tasted watered down. The veggies had no flavor at all and my “salad” hardly had any lettuce. I got queso and chips and the queso just tasted like cheap queso from the grocery store. Also there is no kids menu and a cheese quesadilla is almost $6 - which does not seem worth it for just cheese and a tortilla?

Long lines and depending on when you go in your burrito might look more like a taco than a burrito. But when it's good it's real good. Hopefully they get it figured out. Dine in: Yes Takeout: Yes … More
